How a love for sourdough became a movement that spans three branches across Metro Manila.
Where It Began
Sourdough Cafe first opened its doors in August 2019 on Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City. The goal was simple yet ambitious: introduce authentic European flavors to the Filipino market through the magic of sourdough.
One of the chef-owners crafts every loaf using premium unbleached flour and artisanal baking salt from Pangasinan, combined with traditional sourdough methods to create a distinctive crust, complex flavor profile, and tender crumb.
Our Philosophy
Built around the concept of "Coffee 'til Wine," Sourdough Cafe offers an experience that effortlessly transitions from morning brews to evening glasses of wine — an elevated yet inviting take on European casual dining.
Stepping inside, guests are welcomed by warm and rustic charm: shelves lined with wine bottles, displays of artisan bread, and selections of fine cheeses that immediately hint at the European culinary experience awaiting them.
What Makes Us Different
A uniquely Filipino take on artisan bread — our pandesal leavened with sourdough starter instead of dry yeast.
Every loaf begins with our carefully maintained sourdough starter, giving our bread that signature tangy complexity and chewy texture.
Premium unbleached flour and artisanal baking salt sourced from Pangasinan honor Filipino craftsmanship while achieving European quality.
What started as sourdough expanded into handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas, deli goods, and hearty European mains.
